Harvey Fleetwood Coggins, 75, of Roanoke Rapids died Saturday, November 2, 2013 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Harvey, a native of Northampton County, was the son of the late Harvey and Mittie Barnes Coggins. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Ann Coggins Hux.

Harvey loved going to the races, the singles club, dancing, and picking on people.

He is survived by his sons, Harvey Fleetwood Coggins, Jr. and Stacy Coggins and his wife Angela both of Roanoke Rapids; his grandsons, Braxton and Ayden; two brothers Jimmy Coggins and his wife Vicki J. Coggins of Littleton and Johnny Coggins and his wife Vicki C. Coggins of Roanoke Rapids.

Funeral services for Harvey will be held Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Askew Funeral and Cremation Services in Roanoke Rapids with Minister Dale Morris officiating. Burial will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids.

The family will receive friends at Askew Funeral Services Tuesday from 7-8:30 p.m. and other times at 907 Stoney Brook Dr., Roanoke Rapids.
